Great to Have My Right Arm Back

No, I didn't break my arm but my computer was down for the count which felt just as incapacitating.  In the meantime while waiting for my computer to be repaired, I managed to secure a contract with a very promising up and coming apparel company called Smash Wear.  Not only have I designed their business logo but I will be handling their printing for things such as business cards, designing the screen prints for their clothes, and building and maintaining their website. Exciting times!

Now that I have my computer back, I've got to get caught up on my backlog of assignments.  First of all, I have to make vector files of my two latest logo designs: Smash Wear and The Sprinkled Frog.  Then I'll update/build FLIPrelapse.com, ElectricChinchilla.com, BestPetiteSweets.com, McLainMcGuire.com, and SmashWearApparel.com.  Quite the list huh?  This is just my to-do list for my business Electric Chinchilla Entertainment.

For CCP Comics, I have to get back on track on the OCD Project for which I'm coloring the fantastic artwork of Tim Chupka.  This is the second time the Chupka/ McGuire/ Moore trio has come together on a project.  The first was for the CCP Comics success Dead Robot.  However, still in the works is FLIP Relapse.  Currently, the super-talented Jazel Riley is creating some kick-ass covers for the title.  Robert Saiz, the inker responsible for making my art look 10x more awesome, is currently working on Rocket Truck while he waits for some new FLIP pages.

So yeah, I stay pretty busy but most of these projects will be wrapped up in a few days.  Then it's full tilt on FLIP Relapse and some paintings.  Y'know, there's nothing I like more than talking about FLIP and FLIP Relapse.  Next year is FLIP's 15th anniversary.  The group of us have been friends for that long and I even met my husband Brian in FLIP.  Anyway, FLIP formed out of a small joke.  On the DC Comics message boards one of our founders "Silentbol" asked the question "Who is the ABSOLUTELY best person to add to Young Justice".  Our other founder replied "Freakazoid!" (Stephen Speilberg's creation).  Long story short, about 30 of us joined in before the moderator kicked us off the boards so we formed our own boards with our own rules.  Well, years passed, good times were had and then we grew up and most of us grew apart.  Those I stayed in contact with joined in on my decision to commemorate those good times with a comic series titled FLIP Relapse.  The premise?  "A group of unlikely heroes (based on the personalities of my fellow FLIP members) must come back from their last defeat before the President of the United States finds them and finishes them once and for all."  Sounds awesome right!?  You should totally download the FREE half issue from Comicspl.us right now.

Well, I've got work to do.  I'll have to talk your ear off later.  If you happen to be in the Chicago area at the end of this month, check out CCP Comics and yours truly at the C2E2 convention.  It'll be a blast!
